It features a 5'-DMT (dimethoxytrityl) protective group, a thymidine base, and a 3'-Q (quencher) linker attached to controlled pore glass (CPG) with a 1000 Å pore size. The 3'-Q linker typically includes a quencher dye or group, used for fluorescence-based assays or to create fluorescently quenched probes.
