Dr. Shiyue Fang

  • Postdoctoral in Nucleic Acid Chemistry, Purdue University (2001-2004)
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Missouri-St. Louis (2001)
  • M.S. degree in Organic Chemistry from Chinese Academy of Sciences (1994)
Dr. Fang’s research interests are in the areas of organic chemistry and nucleic acid chemistry. Current projects in his research group include developing methodologies for sensitive DNA and RNA synthesis, and total chemical gene synthesis. The projects have been supported by the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Fang has published more than 50 research articles in various international journals including three invited book chapters. He has been awarded three patents by US PTO.
